Timeline

The timeline is the primary graphical representation of your project. It shows who is doing what, when they are doing it, and how much they've already done. The timeline is also called a Gannt chart .

In the timeline, tasks are shown down the chart and time is represented across the chart from left to right. In PlanIt9, each row of the timeline corresponds to one task or summary task. The name of each task is listed on the left and task bars in the main section indicate when people are working on their tasks. The name of the person assigned to each task is shown to the right of task bar. Task work that has already been completed, according to the progress reports is shown in blue and task work that is planned but not yet completed is shown in red. Summary tasks are represented as bars with triangles on their ends. Summary tasks and their subtasks are organized in an outline format, just as on the tasks page.
